Makeup Tip #18: Getting Teased Lashes

Makeup Tip #18: Getting Teased Lashes

Teased Lashes
Makeup Tip: To get teased eyelashes, hold the mascara wand vertically. Try a vegan and cruelty free mascara.

To get teased lashes: first apply the mascara as you usually would with the wand held horizontally. Apply a thick color at the lash line by moving the mascara wand back and forth. Add another coat of mascara holding the wand vertically and moving side to side. For a bold look, repeat this on the bottom lashes as well.

Makeup Tips #3 Defined Brow Arches

Makeup Tips #3

Defined Brow Arches

Defined Brow Arches

Makeup Tip: Defined Brow Arches. Get the look using cruelty free and vegan makeup. Cruelty free is beautiful. Try using the an eyeliner in a color close to your eyebrows, a tan eyeshadow, and a vegan synthetic angled tip brush.

First create the shape. The natural peak of the arch should line up with the outer white of your eye.  Then fill in to create a pronounced arch. Use the eyebrow pencil to add pigment to the top of the arch, fill in gaps, add a bit to the outer upper half of the brow tail, and add a bit to the lower inner corners for more depth.

Lastly, define the shape and accent your brow bone by applying a pale matte eyeshadow under and above the arch with the angled tip brush.

 Tricks for Applying Mascara

Applying Mascara

Tips for applying mascara. Use a vegan and cruelty free mascara. First, curl your lashes. Curling your lashes will make them look longer and fuller. Swipe on mascara from underneath the lashes going upward and squiggle the mascara brush at the roots before pulling the brush up vertically. Applying the mascara this way gets close to the roots and makes lashes look thick.
