Celebrity Style: Taylor Swift

Celebrity Style: Taylor Swift. Get Taylor Swift’s dramatic cat eye look from the 2015 VMA MTV Video Music Awards using vegan and cruelty free makeup.

For the dramatic cat eye: Trace the upper and lower lash lines of your eyes with black eyeliner. Apply a thicker line on your upper lash lines and a thinner line on your lower lash lines. Once you reach the outer end of the upper lash line, align the tip of the eyeliner with your lower lash line and flick upward creating the wing. Repeat on the inner side of your eye with a smaller flick. Fill in any gaps with the eyeliner. Looking down in a hand mirror might help you get a closer look at the lash lines. Apply the eyeliner to your eyelids in a deep pigment. Use black mascara only on your upper lashes. Keep the rest of your makeup neutral to allow your eyes to be the focus.

To get the look: Steady your elbows on a table and use the eyeliner to put a layer black around the inner eye rim. Then add the lines for the wings. At the outer corner of your eye, draw the line outward and slightly upward. At the inner corner of your eye, draw a small curved line downward under your tear duct. If you make a mistake use a cotton swab in makeup remover or foundation primer. Apply mascara to the upper lashes only to keep the bottom from becoming too heavy.
